It’s a pleasure working with Erwin. He takes responsibility and always willing to help colleagues if necessary. Knows what it takes to lead a both strategic as creative project. Colleagues as well as clients like to participate in his projects, since he’s willing to look at things from different perspectives, though always from a positive one.
Erwin is a real professional who is always open to hear different opinions, analyze them objectively and find working solutions to them. He achieved to add big value to our software development process to work according to the Agile manifesto. He influenced me a lot about Scrum and he thought me a lot about it. I’m glad I had the chance to work with him.
Erwin is an excellent (software) trainer. As a trainer Erwin knows the product well but is first and foremost a good teacher who understands how users need to interact with the product and get results from it.
He is willing to provide users with the straight goods on using the product, such as showing you work-arounds to product idiosyncrasies.
Erwin has the power to move things and people that appear immobile. His subtle but persuasive approach empowers others to change direction and move forward. I have had the pleasure to work with him on a few projects and his input was not only valuable it also helped us achieve our targets and get surprising results. He is a true coach and a fine addition to any Scrum or project team.
To me Erwin is a friendly and open minded guy whom regularly participates in Agile events and meet ups. Either as an active participant (Open Space / Agile Coach Camp NL) or as a speaker/presentator (Lean Coffee, Agile Holland and NL scrum). He does that with calm enthusiasm which is inspring to me. Especially when it comes to LEGO Serious Play I’ve seen him at his best.
Through the years I have had many situations in which I had the pleasure of working with Erwin. I appreciate his inspiring personality and his great insights into Agile topics and far beyond. He communicates these with a lot of determination but he also has a refreshing sense of pragmatism and a great sense of humour. He selects his position carefully depending on the team’s dynamics. He is able to switch easily between facilitating, questioning and taking leadership. Overall he is able to reinforce and speed up the team’s Scrum and Agile maturity. He is respectful as he is demanding; a combination I very much appreciate.
